This week we had a different activity that was set for us; we had mark blogs that were made by other students in the years above us. We were given a mark grid and had to mark each section depending on if they had completed the following sections that were on the mark grid. They had included 4 levels which where worded
Level 1: Poor
Level 2: Basic
Level 3: Proficient
Level 4: Excellent
Overall we had marked 4 examples with the first example I had given it the overall mark band basic, this was because there was no different types of media components that were used it was I a basic power point presentation, also it had seemed that the information that was gathered did not seem like a 10 weeks worth of work.
Example 2 had information provided in a blog it had all the information included there was a lot of information on research of different genres also a small amount of information on the target audience. Information on props was detailed which had helped to bring the grade up and overall I had given the second example an Excellent.
Example 3 this blog had a little amount of information on the props ad location also I had not seen many story boards I don’t think I had found a story board but I could see that overall the person had uses there time well on presentation ad consumed there time well and blogged regularly There was a lot of information about the audience ad a lot of time ad effort given in research of similar products this had helped the grade to be a level 3.
Example 4 had a lot of information o the actors ad what they had needed for there organisation but the rest of the information that was on the blog was basic ad it had so I had given it the overall level 2 basic grade.
Below is the mark grid that i had used
Marking Grid
At the start of the lesson we had a brain storming task to complete, we had to list down what we think that would be needed when we are at our shooting location so the first 5 minutes we had created a shooting checklist and below is a list that we had drew up as a whole class
Tripod
Scripts
Story board
camera charger
Actors
Make up artist
Production notes
Health and Safety on location
Actors numbers
A base to access water, toilet etc
After this we had looked at various images and talked about the Mise en scene in each image below i have found an image and described what is shown in the image.
In this picture you are bale to see candles that are lighted on the table which make the girl stand out in the image as the light is focused in the position that she is seated on. You are able to notice that the other actors in this image are not in the light and are in the darker shaded part of the image this helps you understand that the camera focus is suppose to be on the girl. This image is a long shot as it shows the whole family in the image including the table that they are seated on. You are able to see who the characters are in the image typically I think that it is a daughter and her parents eatig dinner together.

Than we had began to use a camera and figure out the different technique that can be used on the camera, so we had to work in a group and play with the setting we had used a blue paper and set the camera focus on to that colour. Than once we had moved the camera around the room it looked more of an orange colour and bright like it was a summers day. Than we had put a yellow sheet of paper in front of the camera lense to set the colour manually than we had moved the camera around the room and the colour had tined to a blue tone. This had given us a idea to use as a flashback in out two minute opening we were discussing to focus the camera on the blue paper which would set the camera to have a orange tone so the flash back scenery would look different to the other scenes.
